In April Natalia Elizalde, VIVEbiotech’s Chief Business Development Officer, traveled to Barcelona to participate in the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mediterranean organized every year by ARM (Alliance for Regenerative Medicine).
It was in the month of May when Carola Redondo, Business Development and Project Manager, and Natalia moved to Washington D.C. to participate in the ASGCT´s (American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy) annual meeting. In addition to being exhibitors with a stand, Natalia made a company presentation entitled “VIVEbiotech’s approach to lentiviral vector manufacturing”.
At the end of May Natalia, Gurutz Linazasoro, CEO, and Carmen Albo and Andrés Lamsfus, senior R&D researchers, went down to Seville to participate in the biennial congress of the Spanish Society for Gene and Cellular Therapy (SETGyC) in which VIVEbiotech participated as a silver sponsor. All of them attended the posthumous tribute that SETGyC made in memory of our CSO/CTO Juan Carlos Ramírez during the event.
At the end of the summer Giovanna Zanella and Ane Alvarez, Project Managers of VIVEbiotech, participated in the Innovative Therapies Days in Besançon, France in which VIVEbiotech was an exhibitor.
During the second week of October, VIVEbiotech was at FARMAFORUM, the most important event of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Spain. Gurutz participated in the Inaugural Table sponsored by AseBio, entitled “Biotechnological trends that will transform the pharmaceutical industry.” In addition, Javier Aranguren Goñi, Director of Operations at VIVEbiotech, gave a talk at the conference “Paradigm shift in the automation and control of biotechnological processes” sponsored by Klinea BioPharmaceutical Engineering.
Finally, to close the cycle of meetings in which VIVEbiotech has participated in 2022, VIVEbiotech was present at two other relevant international events during the month of October as well:
On the one hand, VIVEbiotech was a silver sponsor at the 29th annual congress of the European Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ESGCT) that took place in Edinburgh in collaboration with the British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT). Marie Fertin, Chief Technological Innovation Officer at VIVEbiotech, and Alejandro Minguez, Business Development Manager together with Giovanna traveled to the United Kingdom together with our R&D expert, Andrés Lamsfus-Calle, who presented a poster titled “INTRONPLUS- PKR knock-out of viral producer cell line enables stable lentiviral vector integrity”.
On the other hand, thanks to AseBio, Natalia traveled to Carlsbad, California, to participate at the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa organized every year by the ARM.
There is no doubt that VIVEbiotech’s participation in international events has been very successful in 2022. We hope that 2023 will be the same!
