Graduate in Biochemistry from the University of Zaragoza and Master’s Degree in Immunology Research at the Complutense University of Madrid. During her academic life, she had the opportunity to participate in research projects on human papillomavirus and HIV in Germany and Spain.

She began her professional career in the pharmaceutical industry at Merck, where she worked in the manufacturing and process development area.

Currently, María is the Head of the Upstream Development Department at VIVEbiotech.
