B.Sc in Bacteriology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá, Colombia), Master´s Degree in Epidemiology from the Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Master in Public Health from the Public University of Navarra, and HND Technician in Manufacture of Pharmacological, Biotechnological and Related Products.

Martha Lucía has worked most of her career in Colombia, in clinical diagnosis laboratories and public health. In Spain, she became a member of the Genetics and Microbiology research group at the Public University of Navarra.

Currently Martha Lucía is part of the R&D team at VIVEbiotech.
